There are those that rise to the faithful only after a great loss, or during a great struggle. These individuals face their struggles with gritted teeth and an inexhaustible will.
| Level | Features |
|---|---|
| 3rd | Domain Spell; Bonus Proficiency; Withstand; Channel Divinity: Preserve Life; Quick Recovery |
| 8th | Divine Strike; Resilience |
At each indicated cleric level, you add the listed spells to your spells prepared.
1st: Absorb Elements, Protection from Evil and Good
3rd: Aid, Lesser Restoration
5th: Aura of Vitality, Life Transference
7th: Death Ward, Stoneskin
9th: Circle of Power, Mass Cure Wounds
At 1st level, you gain proficiency with heavy armor.
From 1st level, your faith is empowered by a will to resist wounds. Whenever you would take damage, you may choose to heal yourself for 1d10 hit points as a reaction. (This happens simultaneously with the damage.) You may only do this a number of times per day equal to your wisdom modifier (minimum one). You regain the use of this ability whenever you finish long rest.
Starting at 2nd level, you can use your Channel Divinity to heal the badly injured. As an action, you present your holy symbol and evoke healing energy that can restore a number of hit points equal to five times your cleric level. Choose any creatures within 30 feet of you, and divide these hit points among them. This feature can restore a creature to no more than half of its maximum hit points. You cannot use this ability on an undead or a construct.
Whenever you would spend hit dice to heal, you heal an additional 2 hit points per die rolled. In addition, you increase your hit dice to d12 instead of d8 for the purposes of spending hit dice.
At 8th level, you gain the ability to infuse your weapon strikes with divine energy. Once on each of your turns when you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you can cause the attack to deal an extra 1d8 damage of the same type dealt by the weapon to the target. When you reach 14th level, the extra damage increases to 2d8.
Choose three damage types, you have resistance to these damage types. In addition, all allies within 10 ft. benefit from these resistances while you are conscious.
