Once, it was part of a world where gods whispered in gold and light. Now, it lies fractured and glowing in twilight, laughing with memories of paradise lost.
Hidden deep within the shadowed groves and mist-laden rocks of Valineth rests a relic from the shattered moon of Elysium: The Shard That Speaks. This large, jagged fragment glows with an otherworldly, golden light, pulsing faintly as if it were breathing. Its core radiates warmth and energy, casting an eerie but alluring glow over the stones around it, small pieces scattered like fragments of a lost celestial dream. This shard, though silent to most, is known among the fae and mortal wanderers as The Last Laugh from Elysium.
The legend says that The Shard That Speaks is a fragment of Elysium’s soul—a part of the paradise where gods once walked, torn free in the moon’s violent destruction. In its glowing cracks and sharp edges lies an echo of Elysium's last moments, a burst of laughter heard as everything crumbled. When the fragment fell upon Valineth, the twilight magic of the moon seeped into it, giving it a semblance of life and even a twisted sense of humor. Now, it speaks, in a voice like faintly chiming bells, to those who approach with open minds, offering cryptic guidance, riddles, and strange visions.
Known as The Last Laugh from Elysium, the shard seems to mock both itself and those it meets. Fae who pass by swear they hear it laughing, a sound both joyous and mournful, as if it remembers a jest from another world. Its fractured light and soft glow draw wanderers into an almost trance-like state, its strange beauty enticing them to listen, to wonder, to dream.
